5 years agoCharlotte Hornets shooting guard/small forward Dwayne Bacon took over Saturday’s win against the Golden State Warriors with a career-best 25-point performance. Bacon’s offensive game inside the three-point arc was working from a myriad of angles, as he shot 10-for-19 from two-point range. After back-to-back performances entering Saturday which saw him make a single field goal in each game, Bacon completely flipped the script. In addition, he snatched six rebounds and added two assists and two steals. For a Charlotte team that is likely to need scoring thump from somewhere on a nightly basis, Bacon provides a high ceiling, much like what he showcased against Golden State. He faces a much tougher task Tuesday when he meets the defensive-minded Pacers.--Jesse Borek
