Dwight Howard Posts Double-Double Wednesday
7 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in a win Wednesday against Washington. It is Howard's 16th game this year of 15 or more rebounds.. Howard was 7-for-13 from the floor and more importantly 4-for-5 from the free throw line. Towards the end of this game, Howard was selected by Washington head coach Scott Brooks to shoot two free throws after Michael Carter-Williams was ejected. The game was out of reach, and Howard was forced to re-enter the game to shoot. He drilled both free throws and blew Brooks a kiss after. Howard is making a serious run for the All-Star roster. His 25 double-doubles are tied for second in the Eastern Conference, and he also ranks second in the conference with 12.4 rebounds per game. Howard is also averaging 15.5 points per game and has been a nice value pick for fantasy owners. The Hornets next game is against Miami, which should highlight a fun head-to-head contest with Hassan Whiteside.
