7 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard (ribs) scored 24 points in a win against Chicago on Tuesday. Howard shot 10-for-12 despite missing the entire second quarter after suffering a rib injury on the back side of his chest cavity. Howard wasn’t entirely sure he could play in the second half but erased all doubt in a third quarter that saw him score 16 of his 24 points while blocking three shots. He would finish with five rejections along with six rebounds. The Hornets play the second of a back-to-back on Wednesday, and Howard's condition should be monitored against the Celtics. He said that it felt like his rib popped out. That doesn't sound very good.--Wai Sallas
