Dwight Howard Pulls Down 13 Boards
7 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard finished with 13 rebounds in the win over his former team on Valentine's Day. In addition to the boards, Howard completed his double-double by scoring 22 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field. Though his best days are behind him as evidenced by a dunk that he missed after failing to jump high enough, Howard has found some success in Charlotte, averaging 12.6 boards per outing, good for fourth best in the league. Though his field goal percentage has taken a slight dip, fantasy owners can take comfort in his improved scoring and free throw numbers. At 32 years old, Howard will get a much-needed All-Star break before his team travels to Brooklyn for a meeting with the Nets next Thursday. Look for him to dominate that matchup against a team that has struggled against big men all season long.
