Dwight Howard Racks Up Another Double-Double
7 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard scored 11 points while pulling down 17 rebounds in a loss to Oklahoma City on Saturday. Howard has been a source of consistency on a below-average Hornets team this year. Saturday's double-double makes it 23 on the year out of a possible 41 games. For the year, Howard is averaging 15.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He ranks 13th in blocks per game and fourth in rebounds per game while playing 30 minutes a game. It feels like a long time since we've been able to trust Howard to contribute, and he's rewarding those who drafted him this year despite a couple of rough years in Los Angeles and Houston.
