7 years agoCharlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard rejected a season-high six shots on Monday against Sacramento. He also added 16 rebounds and 14 points on just 4-for-8 shooting. The Hornets had an epic meltdown Saturday, preventing a four-game win streak. As it stands, they've won three of four, and Howard is averaging 15.7 points, 15.7 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game, which makes him a top-10 player in nine-category leagues during that time. There are few bright spots for the Hornets this season, but Howard has definitely been one of them. He is making the Hornets front office look smart for once after they traded for him in the offseason. Monday marked his 27th double-double of the season.--Wai Sallas
