6 years agoDallas Mavericks power forward/center Dwight Powell will miss Saturday’s game against the Boston Celtics due to left knee effusion. It will mark the third straight game missed for Powell, leaving Dallas thinner than usual in the frontcourt, as veteran Dirk Nowitzki continues to join him in street clothes. Powell is averaging a career-high 8.9 points per game this season across 15 contests, but until he gets healthy and sees his minutes increase, he can remain on the waiver wire.--Jesse Borek
