Dwight Powell Sees Limited Minutes In Season Debut
5 years agoDallas Mavericks power forward Dwight Powell (hamstring) made his 2019-20 NBA season debut on Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets. Powell sat the first three games of the season with a hamstring injury he picked up in the preseason. He was limited to just 14 minutes of action and had four points and four rebounds. It makes sense that the 28-year-old wouldn't be pushed in his first game of the season, especially in the thin air of the Mile High City. Fantasy owners should expect this trend to continue for a few games as Powell continues to find his legs. If there is a roster spot available, Maximilian Kleber had 30 minutes of action on Tuesday and had 14 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Plugging in Kleber for the rest of Week 2 would be a sneaky move for owners that are waiting for Powell to return to full health.
