3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Eduardo Escobar was held out of Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Mets manager Buck Showalter stated that Escobar was unavailable for the game due to a "non-workplace event" while adding, "That's all I can say." Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo reports that Showalter cited HIPAA laws while explaining why he could not say more about Escobar's absence, suggesting that a medical issue was the cause for him being out for the game. Luis Guillorme wound up manning the hot corner for Thursday's contest. It's unclear at this point whether Escobar will miss more time or not, but we should know more soon.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
