7 years agoOrlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton filled up the stat sheet in a win against the Lakers on Wednesday. Payton scored 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting, but it was his contributions across the board that were noteworthy. He grabbed seven rebounds, dished out six assists, nabbed four steals and even recorded a block in the win. We predicted a bounce-back game, as the Lakers are one of the poorest teams against the point guard position. Hopefully this will give Payton some confidence going forward. The Magic host Washington on Saturday. The Wizards are without John Wall (knee) for an extended period of time, which should make life easier for Payton.--Wai Sallas
