7 years agoOrlando Magic guard Elfrid Payton dished out seven assists on Monday against Miami. It's his third game since his horrific 18-minute four-point snoozer and he has settled in to about 24 minutes a game. Monday he played 25, including the last five minutes--which is a good sign for Payton and fantasy owners. Payton chipped in 10 points on 3-for-8 shooting with two rebounds, one steal and only one turnover. Payton is another featured Magic in trade talks, and there may be a sense from head coach Frank Vogel to play him less so Orlando can get comfortable with D.J. Augustin as the possible starting point. The Magic face Cleveland tomorrow. Payton should be good for around 10 points and five assists. It might be worth gazing the waiver wire for a better option.--Wai Sallas
