7 years agoOrlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton scored just four points in a loss to Houston on Tuesday. On a night where James Harden recorded the first 60-point triple-double in NBA history, Payton spent most of the first half on the bench. Payton played almost the entire first quarter, then sat for the whole second quarter. He played another 10 minutes in the second half. This seems to be coming out of nowhere, as Payton had put together a few good games in a row. On Tuesday, Payton recorded a season-low two assists and just one rebound. It's been that type of season for Payton and his fantasy owners. He still has produced top-100 numbers, and the only thing you can do is hope for more positive days ahead. The Magic play the Lakers on Wednesday, who allow the eighth worst numbers to point guards. It's the first time playing them this season, so maybe good times are quickly headed Payton's way.--Wai Sallas
