5 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton scored 18 points with 12 assists, six rebounds and zero turnovers in a loss to the Sixers on Thursday. This was Payton's sixth double-double of the season, coming in 35 minutes of action. He seems to have beaten out multiple youngsters for the starting point guard gig, and the Knicks don't appear to be relinquishing him of those responsibilities anytime soon. That might change as the season's end grows closer with each game. Until then, Payton is a semi-reliable point guard option if you can stomach the inconsistent efficiency from both the field and free-throw line along with the complete absence of three-pointers.--Daniel Lubofsky - RotoBaller
