Elfrid Payton Racks Up 27 Points During Stellar Shooting Display
4 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton delivered a dynamic 27-point showcase during his 29 minutes of action in Sunday's win over the Bucks. Payton's offensive fluidity comes in the wake of a scoreless showing in his last game versus the 76ers, putting his fantasy volatility on full display. Despite his seesaw performances, Payton had it all working Sunday, shooting 12-for-16 from the field overall, including knocking down all three triples that he attempted. He also delivered seven assists and three rebounds, firmly staking his claim to hold down PG duties on a full-time basis with Immanuel Quickley (hip) and Dennis Smith Jr. (quad) sidelined. Payton is certainly worth a waiver add in season-long formats so long as fantasy managers are willing to take the occasional clunker alongside nights where everything clicks like it did versus Milwaukee.
