4 years agoNew York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton enjoyed a fine scoring performance in Saturday's clash with the Blazers, shooting 10-for-19 from the field en route to 22 points. He also had seven rebounds, four assists, and one block in the game with two turnovers in 35 minutes. Payton was stuck in a slump just last week, but he has come back strong and produced two 20-point outings on the bounce. His work has been very impressive on the glass as well lately, as Payton now has 15 rebounds across the last two games. His good run could come to an end on Sunday, though, as the Knicks will face a Miami team that has produced the fourth-best defensive record in the league against point guards this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
