6 years agoPhoenix Suns point guard Elie Okobo shifted into the starting lineup for Friday’s loss to the Orlando Magic, scoring nine points and snatching four rebounds across 29 minutes. The rookie was thrust into starting duty due to the injury to Devin Booker, who has become the team’s de facto point guard since the release of Isaiah Canaan. Okobo has played 60 minutes over the last two games, so monitor his numbers beginning Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers to see how permanent this role is.--Jesse Borek
