Elvis Andrus Fractures Elbows
7 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus (elbow) was struck by a pitch from Keynan Middleton in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday. X-Rays confirmed Andrus fractured his elbow, but the exact time frame will not be known until he can be further assessed. Andrus is hitting .327 on the season with two home runs, five runs score and seven RBI in 61 plate appearances. He will likely be out a minimum of four to six weeks, but that could stretch closer to the two- to three-month mark. Andrus was drafted by many teams to be their primary shortstop in fantasy. Trying to replace him and his role as a player that can contribute in all five categories is going to be close to impossible.
