Elvis Andrus, Rougned Odor Face Competition For Playing Time
4 years agoThe Texas Rangers announced their intentions Tuesday to play younger players and focus on their future heading into 2021. With that in mind, president of baseball operations and general manager Jon Daniels mentioned that shortstop Elvis Andrus and second baseman Rougned Odor -- both under contract through the 2022 season -- would face competition for playing time and need to adapt their games in order to see significant roles. Neither has performed up to expectations this season, with Isiah Kiner-Falefa encroaching on playing time at short and Nick Solak taking over at the keystone. Fantasy managers can look elsewhere ahead of their 2021 drafts for production up the middle than the veteran combo of Andrus and Odor.
