Elvis Andrus Throwing To First Base
6 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus (elbow) is making throws to first base for the first time since hitting the disabled list. We are now just a week away from a possible return date for Andrus, and the step up in workload indicates he may not be far away. Andrus was having a successful time at the plate in 2018 before being hit by the pitch that fractured his elbow. In 61 plate appearances, Andrus had two home runs and was hitting for a .327 batting average. When Andrus is activated, we expect him to quickly return to regular playing time for the Rangers. Andrus should be close to a top-five shortstop the rest of the season following his return.
