2 years agoIt is tough to analyze Emiliano Grillo. He was being talked up quite a bit heading into The Open after finishing second at the John Deere Classic the week prior. However, Grillo was not at his best at St Andrews and failed to make the cut. Over his last 10 events, Grillo has made the cut six times but has only finished in the top 20 once. The positives when looking at Grillo is that he does make a lot of birdies. Over the past 50 rounds, Grillo ranks 11th in the filed in birdies made. Heading into an event that is typically a birdie-fest, Grillo has the mentality needed to contend. Despite his inconsistent form, Grillo will most likely be very popular in DFS because of his ability to make birdies. He is also fairly cheap, which will drive up his ownership. While Grillo does set up well for the 3M Open, taking a chance on a volatile player who will be popular is not the best strategy. There are safer options that can deliver what Grillo does at half the ownership.--Dalton Finkbeiner - RotoBaller
