3 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman Eric Hosmer is getting the day off on Saturday as the team takes on left-hander Tyler Anderson and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Luke Voit will be covering first base for the game. Hosmer has been on a steady decline since he came out of the gate with a .389/.457/.597 slash line in April. He posted a .265/.327/.327 slash line in May, then hit just .202/.248/.319 in June. Outside of deep leagues and NL-only leagues, Hosmer is someone who can remain on waivers as he provides help in few categories other than batting average.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
