6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Eric Skoglund (elbow) has a Grade 1 UCL strain with some fluid around the nerve. The left-handed pitcher will avoid surgery, but his timetable is not known at this point. Skoglund was struggling in 2018 with a 6.70 ERA in 49 2/3 innings. It is likely that owners had already moved on from Skoglund in redraft leagues, but if not, then this news should confirm that now is the time to move on. Skoglund has now struggled in both stints in the majors, and deep dynasty league owners should be questioning if the lefty is worth holding onto.--Ben Rolfe
