2 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Esteury Ruiz is not included in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against right-hander Merrill Kelly and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Jurickson Profar, Nomar Mazara and Trent Grisham will be patrolling the outfield for the game. Ruiz was called up for his MLB debut this past Tuesday. He started five straight games before getting the day off on Sunday. Over those five games, he went 5-for-18 at the plate with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run scored. Most importantly, he stole one base on two attempts. The 23-year-old swiped 60 bags over 77 games in the high minors prior to his call-up this past week. If you're desperate for steals in a deep league or NL-only league, he's a fun player to take a shot on, but there's a good chance his tenure in the majors will be short-lived.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
