4 years agoThe Orlando Magic have traded Evan Fournier to the Boston Celtics in exchange for two second-round picks. Fournier has started all of his 26 games this year in Orlando, averaging 19.7 points on 46.1 shooting and putting up 2.8 threes, 3.7 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. Barring a Marcus Smart trade, Fournier will likely come off the bench in Boston, providing much-needed wing depth for a team that was relying on players like Jeff Teague and Payton Pritchard to fill that role. You might expect a reduced role to lead to reduced production and you'd likely be right, but Fournier should have the green light to fire away when he's on the floor, so don't expect Fournier to become fantasy irrelevant, even if his numbers do fall off. As for Orlando, the newly-aquired Otto Porter Jr. might end up trying to fill Fournier's role as a shooter, or we'll see more big lineups with Chuma Okeke on the wing. It's hard to know what to expect in Orlando though, as the Magic are still expected to trade Aaron Gordon.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
