Evan Fournier Will Miss Saturday’s Contest
4 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard/small forward Evan Fournier was on track to make his team debut Saturday versus Oklahoma City, but he has instead been ruled out due to the league's health and safety protocols. It's been a snakebitten season for Fournier, who has missed extensive time due to myriad injuries that have limited him to 26 games. When healthy, it's been the best offensive year of Fournier's career, as he has averaged career bests with 19.7 points and 3.7 assists per contest. Without him or Kemba Walker (knee, rest) in the lineup Saturday, expect Boston to rely on it's triumvirate of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart for offensive production. Fournier's next chance to debut comes Monday against the Pelicans.
