3 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria (shoulder) will be held out of the starting lineup for the second straight game on Thursday as the team takes on right-hander Sandy Alcantara and the Miami Marlins. Jason Vosler is making his second consecutive start at third base for the game. Longoria is dealing with right shoulder soreness and the team is being understandably cautious with him. Despite the injury, he managed to pinch hit in Wednesday's game and he went 0-for-1 with a strikeout. The 36-year-old has only appeared in 18 games so far this year and he's slashing .232/.271/.536 with five home runs, 11 RBI and seven runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
