2 years agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor extended his current hit streak to five games during Monday's matchup against the Atlanta Braves. He went 3-for-5 with three singles in the contest. The 28-year-old now owns a .245/.319/.424 slash line over 86 games on the year to go along with 15 home runs, nine stolen bases, 60 RBI and 50 runs. His underlying metrics provide some cause for concern. His hard-hit rate (39.1%) is the lowest it's been since 2017, down from his career-best 44.1% clip last year. Additionally, he has a career-worst 19.5% strikeout rate, up from his career 15.1% strikeout rate. Lindor remains a must-start player in most formats for now, but his offensive slide -- which began in 2020 -- is now in year number three and with each passing month it looks less and less likely that we'll see Lindor as an elite fantasy contributor once again.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
