6 years agoThe Padres have placed catcher Francisco Mejía on the 10-day IL with a left knee sprain and recalled C Austin Allen from Triple-A El Paso. Austin Hedges should get most of the starts in Mejía's absence. While Hedges has been the better hitting of the two with a .157/.231/.313 slash line, both have been terrible from an offensive stand point. Hedges can be ignored and Mejia's absence won't be a huge loss in fantasy circles.--Nate Duffett
