5 years agoToronto Raptors point/shooting Fred Vanvleet fell just short of a second consecutive double-double during Friday’s victory over the Detroit Pistons, collecting 16 points, nine assists and eight rebounds across an efficient 35 minutes. Vanvleet tied the knot on a staggeringly impressive January from behind the three-point line, finishing 45.2 percent, his highest single month percentage since Feb. 2018. He has been held below the 20-point plateau in each of his last five games, but has dished out an average of eight assists per contest in that span.--Jesse Borek
