Fred VanVleet Ruled Out For Thursday’s Game
3 years agoToronto Raptors point/shooting guard Fred VanVleet (knee) will be unavailable for Thursday's contest against the Pistons, marking his third consecutive absence due to a sore right knee. Malachi Flynn will remain in the starting five in place of VanVleet and stands to be a solid DFS target, having combined for 33 points and 13 assists in his last two outings. It's a particularly favorable matchup for Flynn, as Detroit has yielded the third-most DFS points per game to opposing point guards this year. VanVleet has played in just four of Toronto's past nine contests, with the team taking a conservative approach to the league's minutes per game (38.2) leader. His next chance to suit up comes Friday vs. the Magic.
