Fred VanVleet, Thaddeus Young Cleared To Play Saturday
3 years agoToronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) and small/power forward Thaddeus Young have been given the green light to take the floor for Saturday's game against the Nuggets. VanVleet missed just one outing due to a groin ailment, with his return taking some of the DFS shine away from Gary Trent Jr., who went for 42 points in VanVleet's absence. Toronto's offensive lynchpin has hit multiple triples in 27 straight games, averaging 4.7 made threes at a 40.3 percent clip in that span. Young's role among the second unit is unclear, although the veteran figures to snag a handful of minutes. Having played a combined 47 minutes since the calendar flipped, Young is likely to be eased into the Raptors rotation.
