3 years agoToronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rockets due to a sore left groin. VanVleet leads the league at 38.6 minutes played per outing, with his absence opening the door for Dalano Banton to get added run, while Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam figure to take on more playmaking duties. VanVleet has been scorching hot behind the arc to begin February, knocking down 4.4 triples per game, all while shooting at a 44 percent clip. His next chance to suit up comes Saturday vs. Denver.--Jesse Borek
