3 years agoMiami Marlins first baseman/outfielder Garrett Cooper (knee) is being held out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. Cooper fouled a ball off his left knee during Saturday's game and he exited the contest after the incident. The 31-year-old has been primarily playing first base and designated hitter lately, but Jesus Aguilar will be covering first and Avisail Garcia will be the team's designated hitter on Sunday. It sounds as if Cooper is day-to-day for now. We'll see if he's able to return to action for Monday's series opener against the Washington Nationals.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
