Garrison Mathews Draws First Start Of Season
3 years agoHouston Rockets shooting guard/small forward Garrison Mathews has been elevated to the starting five for Saturday's contest against Charlotte. Mathews has come off the bench over the past five games and averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 boards per contest while shooting 40 percent overall. With Jalen Green (hamstring) down for at least the next week, Mathews could be worth a short-term stream in larger season-long formats, as he has shown a propensity for shooting the ball well from deep when starting (41 percent last season with the Wizards). Mathews' bottom of the barrel DFS price tag Saturday could earn him some last-minute tourney consideration, especially in light of the game carrying a projected total of 227, the highest on the slate.
