4 years agoToronto Raptors shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer in Monday's 103-101 win over Washington, finishing with a 2-for-6 effort from three-point land and 7-for-15 overall shooting. He added a pair of rebounds and assists as well during a 16-point night. Pascal Siakam led the team with 22 points. With Fred VanVleet (hip) and Kyle Lowry (foot) currently out, the Raptors are thin on bodies at the backcourt and Trent Jr. has a chance to carry a bigger load offensively. He's done a nice job in his last three outings, averaging 26.7 points per game. The Duke product has no chance to cool off as the Raptors will be back on the court Tuesday night against the Lakers. It's a meeting with the league's most efficient defense, so Trent Jr.'s scoring streak is about to get a big test.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
