Gary Woodland Looking To Improve On His U.S. Open Record
6 years agoHaving snapped his missed-cuts streak in impressive style at the Memorial Championship, where he claimed a top-25 finish, Gary Woodland will now be hoping to improve on his U.S. Open record, which has been hit and miss through the years. Woodland has made four of seven cuts at the U.S. Open but has finished no better than T23 at the event. This year's venue, Shinnecock Hills, should provide Woodland with an excellent opportunity to improve on this record, as the 7,440-yard course should suit the long hitter. Woodland is third in both total driving and strokes gained off the tee for the season.
