3 years agoVeteran outfielder Gerardo Parra announced his retirement from the majors this past weekend. He will now be joining the Washington Nationals' front office as a special assistant to the team's general manager. Parra spent a total of 12 years in the majors. He came up with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2009 and spent the first half of his MLB career with the organization before bouncing around a bit. He was a member of the Nationals' 2019 World Series Championship team. He retires with a solid career batting average of .275.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
