3 years agoAfter a rocky start to the 2022 season, New York Yankees ace Gerrit Cole settled in over his last two outings. The 31-year-old right-hander allowed no runs in either of his last two starts, pitching a total of 12.2 scoreless innings and racking up 15 strikeouts. Through five total starts on the season, Cole has gone 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP and a 27% strikeout rate. He's been giving up a good amount of hard contact with a 41.9% hard-hit rate that ranks in the 36th percentile. However, he's been susceptible to hard contact in the past and that hasn't prevented him from being completely dominant so fantasy managers shouldn't have any concern there at this point.
