Giancarlo Stanton Blasts His 15th Home Run On Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton sparked the team's offense in Thursday's 7-6 win over the Houston Astros. He hit a three-run home run in the first inning of the game to put the team on the board. The home run wound up being his only hit of the day as he went 1-for-3 with a walk, three RBI and two runs. The 32-year-old slugger is slashing .246/.336/.493 with 15 home runs, 45 RBI and 25 runs over 57 games this year. June has been his worst offensive month yet, as he's slashed just .135/.328/.404 across the month, but hopefully Thursday's homer can help get him back on track.
