6 years agoMilwaukee Bucks small/power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo went for a career-high 52 points during Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. In a season full of mesmerizing stat lines from Antetokounmpo, Sunday’s takes the cake. Milwaukee’s franchise cornerstone shot 15-for-26 from the field, knocking down three three-pointers, adding 16 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and all while going 19-for-21 from the free-throw stripe. It may have come in a loss, but Antetokounmpo could not have made his case for MVP any more loud and clear. In a year full of memorable fantasy performances, Antetokounmpo’s 52-point eruption will slot somewhere near the top.
