6 years agoWhile the New York Yankees buried the Boston Red Sox Sunday night at Yankee Stadium, they once again suffered some injuries that added to the concerns that have seemingly been in effect all season. The first injury seemed to occur in the opening frame of the game, as infield All-Star Gleyber Torres appeared to wince in pain running to first base. He would later exit the game with a core injury that sent him to the hospital. Later in the game, another invaluable infielder, Giovanny Urshela, fouled two balls off the same leg, falling on the ground in pain the second time. The 27-year-old remained in the game for some time, however, before later being removed himself. While manager Aaron Boone said Urshela was sore, there were no tests scheduled. Torres, meanwhile, exited the hospital early Monday morning and got on the team bus to Baltimore, a promising development.--RDelgado
