Gleyber Torres Expected To Return In Two Or Three Weeks
4 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (quad, hamstring) will miss the next two to three weeks as he recovers from strains in his hamstring and quad which he suffered during Thursday’s game against the Rays. Torres had been heating up prior to getting injured with a .917 OPS over his last 12 games, but that will be put on hold with a lengthy trip to the IL. Tyler Wade is most likely to start in Torres’s place as Wade has already gotten into 20 games this season in his backup role. Torres is still worth rostering since he should be an important piece of fantasy teams towards the end of the season, but fantasy players should prepare for the 23-year-old to miss several weeks.
