Gleyber Torres Goes Deep Thursday
3 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres kept his hot streak going Thursday, taking Shohei Ohtani deep in the 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Angels. He went 2-for-4 with a double as well. The home run marked his fifth one in his last eight games, and Torres is slashing .281/.293/.614 in his last 15. In 47 contests overall, the 25-year-old is hitting .256 with 10 HRs, 25 RBI, 18 runs, and one stolen base. This production is coming after two seasons of a sub .730 OPS. It seems as though the Torres of 2019 is back to some degree.
