Gleyber Torres Removed From Thursday’s Game Early
4 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres was removed from Thursday's game against the Blue Jays with lower back stiffness. He went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting in the bottom of the third inning. The severity of his back injury is unknown at this time and the 24-year-old is considered day-to-day. He will undergo further evaluation on Friday. Rougned Odor replaced him in the game and would see an uptick in playing time while Torres is sidelined. Odor is hitting .179 with nine strikeouts and no walks over his last eight games and is mainly a speculative add in deep-league formats.
