3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Torres is in the midst of a brutal 1-for-26 stretch that has lowered his season average down to .246. One area where he has taken a step back is his performance against fastballs, which has lagged behind the results of his first three seasons. The Yankees and fantasy managers will hope he can turn it around soon, as he has been disappointing this season overall. Tyler Wade will start at short and bat ninth. Wade hasn't offered much with his bat this season, hitting .233 with a .562 OPS.--Tim Capurso
