3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Sox. Torres helped the Yankees rally in the eighth inning, singling in a run and then stealing second and third pulling off the double steal with Greg Allen on his second swiped bag. The 24-year-old now has a seven-game hitting streak, with three home runs, six RBI, and three stolen bases during that span. Torres has had improved quality of contact since mid-July, likely due to a mechanical change he made. He looks poised to finish the season strong after looking like a draft bust for the first several months.--Tim Capurso
