3 years agoGolden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson (Achilles) is getting closer to a return to game action, with Adrian Wojnarowski and Baxter Holmes of ESPN reporting that the sharpshooter is likely to suit up come January. Many fantasy managers had been optimistic of a potential Christmas Day return, but Wojnarowski points to Jan. 9 and 18 as days that the Warriors could deploy Thompson for his first in-game action since June 13, 2019. It's highly unlikely that Golden State hands Thompson a significant minutes load out of the gate, so his fantasy expectations can be tempered until at least the second half. Still, if there are available spots, it may be time for aggressive fantasy managers to eye snagging Thompson off the waiver wire.--Jesse Borek
