5 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Gordon Hayward finished with 24 points on 9-for-14 shooting during Saturday’s win over the Chicago Bulls, accounting for his highest point total since returning from a fractured hand. Hayward also had five rebounds, three assists and two made triples, giving him at least five boards in each of his past six outings. He is on pace to set new career highs in both rebounding (6.1 per game) and shooting percentage (53.4 percent overall), as any injury concerns have certainly been squelched over the past two weeks, in which he has played significant minutes in both ends of back-to-backs. He should see an uptick in fantasy value for Monday’s matchup versus the Wizards should Kemba Walker (illness) remain sidelined.--Jesse Borek
