6 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Gordon Hayward logged 31 minutes during Tuesday’s victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, which allowed him to shoot 9-for-14 from the floor en route to 18 points. Boston’s bench maestro also added six rebounds and five assists, making Tuesday a check in the positive column for the former All-Star. Shooting 42.6 percent on the season, what would be a career low, Hayward has struggled to find any kind of rhythm amidst the crowded Boston rotation. There has been no indicator of when he may break out on a given night, although the absence of Marcus Morris on Tuesday certainly allotted for a handful of extra minutes.--Jesse Borek
