5 years agoBoston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is expected to opt into his player option for next season, according to Sean Deveney. He has bounced back nicely this season, averaging 17.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists this season. Hayward has a player option worth $34 million for next season. It's the final year of the deal he signed with Boston back in 2017. There's a good chance that Hayward won't get anything near $34 million on the open market.
